Compliance Measures for the EU AI Act

Dear participant,

this survey is being conducted by Johannes Kepler University Linz. Its purpose is to collect data on what measures companies and organizations which use or provide AI technologies have been taking or will take to comply with the requirements of the EU AI Act. This survey is anonymized, however you can provide us your name optionally. The EU AI Act is a regulatory framework that got passed on the 13th of March 2024 and went into force on the 2nd of August 2024.

After entry into force of the legislatur following deadlines will apply:

  • 6 months: prohibited AI systems
  • 12 months: General Purpose AI (GPAI) systems
  • 24 months: high-risk AI systems (Annex III)
  • 36 months: high-risk AI systems (Annex I)
  • Codes for practice must be ready after 9 months

Please note that all questions regarding the requirements are open-ended. If you decide against providing information then please explain your reasons. However, we encourage you to provide information on your compliance measures that are either currently in development or already fully implemented to benefit our research. As adaptation to the EU AI Act is an ongoing process, your responses will help us understand how organizations are preparing for this regulation.

To help you answer the questions accurately, we will provide links to additional information and resources from the Future of Life Institute and their EU AI Act website.

Duration of the survey highly depends on what and how many different risk-tier AI systems you use or provide. However, it shouldn't take longer than 15 minutes. Please answer the survey with the best of your knowledge. For any further questions, feel free to contact us by e-mail: AIActResearch.JKU@proton.me

Your participation and effort is highly appreciated and will contribute significantly to the understanding of how organizations are adapting to these new AI regulations.

PS: Users of the research platform SurveyCircle.com will receive SurveyCircle points for their participation.
